One-To-One Horse Training - Inperson & Online
Helping you develop a sound, balanced and comfortable horse through a clear, structured approach to movement, strength, alignment and communication.
Tara works by assessing posture, movement patterns, and areas of restriction to understand how your horse is functioning as a whole. From there, each session is tailored to help you improve balance, straightness, strength, and overall soundness — whether you’re working on rehabilitation or performance.
How Training Sessions Work
Sessions are done as groundwork or ridden depending on individual circumstances
In-Person Training (UK – Cambridgeshire)
Sessions take place at Long Drove and are tailored to both horse and handler/rider. You’ll work through practical exercises designed to improve your horse’s movement, balance, and way of going, with clear guidance throughout so you understand not just what to do, but why.
Online Training (Worldwide)
Online training sessions are designed to be simple, accessible, and effective, no matter where you are based. These are live, one-to-one sessions where you are coached in real time while working with your horse, allowing for immediate feedback and adjustments as you go. This is not video analysis or delayed feedback — you are guided step by step throughout the session so you can feel and see the changes as they happen.
Sessions can be carried out using Zoom, Google Meet, Facebook Messenger video, or Pivo Live Lesson if you are using a Pivo device. The setup is straightforward and most clients find it far easier than they expect once they get started.
All you need to take part is a smartphone and a way to position it safely so that your horse and movement can be seen clearly. This can be a tripod, a fence mount, or a Pivo. Headphones or a headset are strongly recommended so that you can hear clearly without distraction while working. In more extreme weather conditions such as heat or cold, a portable battery pack is also recommended to ensure your device stays charged throughout.
A stable internet connection is helpful, but it does not need to be perfect. Many clients train successfully using mobile data (4G or 5G), portable Wi-Fi devices, or by using their phone as a hotspot. If your signal is limited in your usual riding area, simple adjustments such as moving slightly closer to a building, repositioning your setup, or using a signal booster or extender are often enough to create a reliable connection.
Online training is already working successfully for clients across the UK, Europe, the USA, and Australia, in a wide range of environments from yards to open fields. In most cases, a simple phone setup is all that is needed to get started.
If you are unsure whether your setup will work, you are welcome to get in touch before booking, but for the majority of clients, it is far more straightforward than expected.
What You’ll Gain From These Sessions
You’ll develop the ability to recognise what is happening within your horse’s body, understand why certain issues are occurring, and know how to address them. Sessions focus on creating a horse that can carry itself correctly, move with freedom, and work without unnecessary tension or strain. Over time, this leads to improved performance, better muscle development, and a horse that feels more connected, responsive, and comfortable in its work.
Who This Is For
These sessions are suitable for owners and riders who are ready to take an active role in understanding and improving their horse’s way of going. Whether you’re dealing with specific issues or simply want to develop your horse correctly from the ground up, this approach gives you the tools to make meaningful progress.
